Hi everyone,

Recently I've been trying to locate an addon of an airplane, even totally fictional, that is a modern p[Mod - Happy Thoughts]enger or cargo big flying boat The scale could be any scale, from the size of a 737 to something larger than the An224, but the prefference is to the one such as 747, 380, 224... In other words, I'm looking for the modern version of the Hughes Hercules 'Spruce Goose': Big, heavy, long range.

Like I mensioned, I won't mind it to be fictional. If there's nothing currently available, I personally think it's a nice small project, for anyone with the powers and knowledge, converting an A380 or a B747-400 to a modern jet flying boat.

Would be glad to get a link.

Thanks in advance.

Airbuses float pretty well all by themselves hehe... I have not seen anything out there like that and with AVSIM down, google fails to bring me any hints.

Edit: I forgot to mention that the Russians had an experimental flying jet boat that was M[Mod - Happy Thoughts]IVE but I am not sure if it was brought to the FS.

The Soviet m[Mod - Happy Thoughts]ive flying boat you are thinking of was actually a WIG (Wing in Ground Effect) aircraft designed to fly in ground (or water) effect within one wingspan of the surface of the water - the A90. Generated tremendous lift and could carry large loads at high speed. Details on it can be found here.... Not sure how well something like that would work in MSFS as I don't think MSFS models ground effects that well...

I'll ask this another way, from a more progressed perspective.

I've decided to go on the An225 amphibian. I do have a nice addon for the An225. The question is, how to modify it so it would be amphibian, meaning could land on water, float and taxi on water, instead of sinking (Nothing to change in the visual model)? This is in addition of landing inland regularly?
