Air France A340 accident at CYYZ, all survived

There's going to be lots of discussions on this accident in the future.

Lots of pro's and con's in the way it evolved.

In listening to the ATC Archive for CYYZ from 1530 to 1600 hours,

Weather was of concern, but ATC was reporting weather 7 to 12 miles

north of the field. Of interest, a comair RJ is asking about weather

they have on their Radar right over the field, not once, but twice.

She is questioning the weather over the field several times as

looking very heavy. Time frame around 1540 hrs.

3 mins in the controller realises what has happened and you here him

telling other pilots. 5 mins in an aircraft declares a fuel emergency.
