Hunter Gaber 1024819 Posted June 1, 2009 at 01:10 AM Posted June 1, 2009 at 01:10 AM I have an HP Pavilion a1129n computer and the harddrive has failed on it. The harddrive that failed was a Seagate Barracuda 7200.7 and I ordered a 7200.11 from Dell yesterday, and I was just thinking, geez I hope the new harddrive will work... Thanks, Hunter
Erhan Atesoglu 1050499 Posted June 1, 2009 at 04:03 PM Posted June 1, 2009 at 04:03 PM hunter: don't worry about it all ... .11 drivers and later feature a technology called perpendicular writing. It's an improvement but you don't have to worry about it being compatible. All those details are handled by the hard drive itself, windows isn't even aware and talks to the new 7200.11 just as if it were a 7200.7 http://www.pond64.net
