Magnus Gustafsson Posted June 15, 2009 at 08:13 PM Posted June 15, 2009 at 08:13 PM Hello, sir! I´m just making scenario for my students on your older program, this seems like nice upgrade! But I have som dificulties, running VISTA, istalled as admin, and ASE starts like it is suposed! When selecting Sectorfile, the screen is black, do not see the sectorfile! I can load a old scenario, and the aircrafts are visible! I have given the program al rights thru the forder, right clicking, still its not working! Can you try what I am doing wrong! This is the sectorfile I am using! http://www.vaccsca.org/component/docman/doc_download/26-euroscope-configuration-files-for-sweden-airac-0901?ItemId=77 Edit 1. The program works well with Hungary sectorfile that comes with Euroscope. I have alsow tested in XP and the same problem there, sectorfile is black! When trying to open the zipfile, you have to open it with Winrar! I do not know why winzip report the package corrupt, it to work very well in Euroscope! Whith best regards! Magnus Gustafsson Posted June 16, 2009 at 09:37 AM Posted June 16, 2009 at 09:37 AM Hello Phillip! I do confirm, I have enabled everything under "view" in the menubar, still black! The the old scenario do load! When changing directly to inbeded sectorfile that comes along with instalation of Euroscope, it starts with no problems! And I can report that SID/STAR option is emty in Swedish sectorfile, but in inbeded Hungary sectorfiles they show! Alan Vucic 1041005 Posted June 16, 2009 at 09:44 AM Posted June 16, 2009 at 09:44 AM Unfortunately same here, by default after installation everything that is relevant under "view" is enabled. Anthony Lawrence Posted June 16, 2009 at 11:46 AM Posted June 16, 2009 at 11:46 AM Have you guys ensured that aswell as enabling the, the colours have been changed from black? Craig, if that fixes the problem it looks like that issue with the default "black" is back! I must say that having been a beta tester for Craig, the sheer dedication devoted to this program is worth a huge thumbsup - it's a great program and certainly makes life easier! A... Magnus Gustafsson Posted June 16, 2009 at 01:32 PM Posted June 16, 2009 at 01:32 PM Hello Anthony! I can confirm, that changing colors on background, fixes, and so on, did not help! I do think the problem is how this program reads the sectorfile, when ASE v1.2 reads enbeded Euroscope sectorfile perfectly! I will now download the other contries in VACCSCA(Denmark,Norway) sectorfile, and see what ASE says about them! Edit 1. Denmark sectorfile works exelent, but did not find Norway beta sectorfile. Board of Governors Manuel Manigault Posted June 18, 2009 at 12:03 AM Board of Governors Posted June 18, 2009 at 12:03 AM It is not working for me. I just downloaded the program, loaded a sector file and the entire screen is black. I made sure that the default colors were loaded and the view options turned on. The SIDS and STARS section is blank. It appears that the program did not load the sector file successfully. When I go to file -> recent sectors, it does not show the sector that I loaded last. Craig Phillips 947617 Posted June 26, 2009 at 11:21 AM Author Posted June 26, 2009 at 11:21 AM Sounds like the version check isnt completing. Make sure you have an internet connection. Or if you can, disable the internet and try to start up ASE. ASE will not try and check to see if its the latest issue (using the internet) and may load properly. Let me know if it works. If it does work I will PM you to perminately by-p[Mod - Happy Thoughts] the version check. It may have been an issue with my webserver... if ASE cannot connect to the webserver, it will not load (unless by-p[Mod - Happy Thoughts]ed) Many Thanks Craig Phillips (ASE Developer) Craig Phillips Senior Student - UK South East - Mentor Developer: Aircraft Situation Editor (ASE)

Arthur Heiser 1052801 Posted August 25, 2009 at 12:03 AM Posted August 25, 2009 at 12:03 AM This is my problem: First, I created a situation file, populated it with ac, and saved it as a .air file for TWRTrainer, which I will be using. But, when I go to modify the situation file I had just saved, ASE will not open it. I hit File -> Load Situation File and select my file, then nothing happens. No aircraft pop up. Please help. Thanks. Edit 1. Does ASE only create .air files and cannot edit them? AJ Heiser Senior Controller, ZLA ARTCC "Good judgment comes from experience.
