If thats for TWR and anything under, thats just unnecessary in my opinion. I always run in 1 window no matter what position. In fact, this mirrors the real world where the closeup window is like the out-the-window or ASDE view, and the other window showing the approaches is like the DBRITE or STARS monitors that many towers use. So I wouldn't say it's unnecessary for TWR ... maybe GND or DEL though.
