The MPP aircraft package provided by MCDU. Where exactly do I install it to. Which folder? I tried various places but the new livery doesn't seem to appear. Planes through FSinn when connected to vatsim in FSX still look like default models.

How are you doing, Zack. You're posting your FSInn question in the wrong forum. You already have a couple of messages in the correct forum. Look at the sticky in this forum that is titled, "SB3 and FSInn Help".

The first line in that sticky says: "Please note this is not the place for SB3 or FSInn help issues."

As far as your question, it's addressed VIA the please read sticky of the FSInn Help forum. Look at the steps provided that addresses your issue. Perform the steps that are provided. Then if for some reason it doesn't resolve your issue use the format of the bold item #3 of that sticky for your followup.

This will most likely resolve your issue. This will also be a contribution to the forum, whereas you'd validate the resolutions that are already provided, or help us to see where they fail.

Thanks in advance for helping us to help you.

For FSInn/VATSIM issues, please test the FSInn Installation sticky and linked FAQ. It really works!

Larry, the please read sticky says what to look for and what to do in order to locate a solution for a problem. Is that what you meant? Or, did you literally mean that the Please read sticky specifically addresses my topic, because I'm not seeing it?

Many people are saying they are spending hours and days (some have even said they spent years) trying to resolve their issues with FSInn. They are saying they are searching the web and trying everything and having problems.

For the convenience of users I have compiled resolutions for most issues concerning VATSIM and FSInn to two messages. Your current issue is contained in those two messages.

To help the users be aware of the two messages, I created a very short message in the FSInn Help forum (where the sticky of this forum by the namesake of FSInn ask the users to look). The short message is titled “Please read before posting in this forum”. So the users are sent to this FSInn Help forum for their answers. As a courtesy to any forum, I would suggest that you start out with the stickies that are provided in any forum, not just the FSInn Help forum.

Now, it appears from your current message that you have read that sticky. Look again at the bold item #1 of that sticky. It shows two messages and asks the users to visit those two messages for resolutions to their problems. Look at the two messages. The second of the two messages is a list of common questions that are accomeulated from messages posted in the FSInn Help forum. Your question was very common in the past. It’s not asked as often these days because most people will look at the message and perform the resolution.

The title of your topic of this thread is: ”MPP Aircraft package”.

Your original message says in it’s content:

The MPP aircraft package provided by MCDU. Where exactly do I install it to. Which folder? I tried various places but the new livery doesn't seem to appear. Planes through FSinn when connected to vatsim in FSX still look like default models.

Now look at question #6 of the second of the two messages the please read stickie is tell you to check. Its title is: “Why isn’t my VIP/MPP being displayed?”.

Save yourself a lot of time and help us to validate the fixes by using the resource. Then use the format of the bold item #3 of the please read sticky for your followup. In other words, make a reference to what you have done, using similar wordings as the resolution provided in the two messages and how it worked in your particular case.

I wouldn’t be surprised if someone doesn’t say, why did I spend this time explaining this to you? why didn’t I just copy and paste the content of the FSInn/VATSIM FAQ to you?

The reason is so that you will visit the resolution and test them and notice how effective they are. You’ve already posted three or four questions of which the answers to each one of them have been in those two messages. If you had noticed that before, you’d probably be much further in your FSInn configuration.

I’m explaining this to you as a courtesy to save you lots of time… among other reasons.
