iCalendar for events

Over the last month or two I have been tuning my life into Google, not least because my new mobile device synchronises completely with Google Calendars. I set up an iCal feed for Vatsim-UK's events so that they could show up in my calendar. Whilst this works fine (when our website works!), and includes personalised controller bookings, it would be nice to have an iCal subscription of the events calendar on the .net site. I wonder also if it would be useful if Divisions could update that calendar by subscription from their own sites, so that webmasters don't have to update multiple sites.

I have tried emailing this suggestion to Bruce Benway whose email address is on the calendar but with no response.

Anyway, what do you guys think of having events feeds via iCal, do you agree this a better way of communicating what's going on on the network? I think it would be MUCH easier than having to monitor the fly-in notices section of this forum and the news/NOTAM feed on the front page (neither of which are sorted by date of event), and the calendar at http://www.calsplus.net/vatsim.

For reference, Vatsim-UK's would take the form: webcal://www.vatsim-uk.org/ical.php?ev=show when the site is working. If other divisions have iCals, perhaps you could post the URLs here. I am happy to provide (via email) a basic script which reads a mysql table of events, should it help.
