Leung John Posted July 15, 2009 at 01:29 AM Posted July 15, 2009 at 01:29 AM Hello everybody, I got a PC for FS only. What I've installed is just FS2004, not even MSN messenger, anti-virus, or Winzip. Here's some info: Intel P4 630 3Ghz ATi X1600 Display (not sure 256 or 512 mb) 2 GB RAM Direct X 9.0c installed Display driver is updated Still, I can only get around 12 fps in Kai Tak (VHHX) in low settings I saw somebody in youtube with a worse PC (P4 2.0, FX5200 256mb) can get smoother than me... I pressed Ctrl Alt Delete, and checked my CPU usage, It's around 40-50 only. Is there any method to boost my performance by increasing the CPU usage or any other method? Thanks a lot! Derek Hui 948314 Posted July 15, 2009 at 01:38 AM Posted July 15, 2009 at 01:38 AM Go into the Catalyst driver and make optimizations for performance. What scenery for Kai Tak are you using?
Leung John Posted July 15, 2009 at 02:39 AM Author Posted July 15, 2009 at 02:39 AM I've already make all of them to the performance side, still it gives a poor result. I'm using Fly Tampa Kai Tak. The youtube video I saw is this one: Thanks.
Genadi Chankov Posted September 25, 2009 at 05:19 PM Posted September 25, 2009 at 05:19 PM just upgrade the video card and it will be fine. MFS likes nVidia cards, just keep this in mind! http://www.tomshardware.co.uk/charts/gaming-graphics-charts-q1-2008/Microsoft-Flight-Simulator-X,562.html
