He will more likely use a private voice channel, not UNICOM, as pilot chat on UNICOM is not permitted.

 

Hope you guys have a great flight, Monument Valley is a terrific VFR flight - Cl[Mod - Happy Thoughts] G airspace so you can get right down on the deck amongst the rocks. Also just east of that airport is Canyon de Chelly (pronounced canyon de shay), a small version of the Grand Canyon, home to the ancient ones who lived in the cliff dwellings.
