Trent Hopkinson Posted August 12, 2009 at 04:35 AM Posted August 12, 2009 at 04:35 AM As there is a fair bit of Rain around Tasmania tonight, We thought we would throw you guys down a bit of a Challenge. Starting from circa 0930z (1930AEST) Bring out your light twins/singles and have a go at a flight between Flinders Island, St Helens, and either Hobart YMHB or Cambridge YCBG, perhaps via an ILS RWY 12 at Hobart, and a circling approach into Camdbridge! If you feel your choice of aircraft is a bit slow, or you were later than everyone else departing, or your aircraft is too big for the field, feel free to overfly St Helens, Bonus points to people who land at all 3 of the following airfields: Flinders Island YFLI Charts: Ground NDB GNSS/RNAV St Helens YSTH Ground NDB GNSS/RNAV 26 Cambridge YCBG Cambridge ERSA Highly Advise reading this due proximity of field to Hobart YMHB (less than 1 runway length away) (Also see Hobart YMHB Charts Below) Hobart YMHB Ground Chart Hobart YMHB ILS Approach runway 12 Hobart Runway 30 VOR/DME Approach First prize is the satisfaction of doing so IFR flightplans are likley to be required due to the poor weather tonight. Also be sure your aircraft is able to land at St Helens, as the runway is short and non-sealed.
