Will Reynolds Posted August 19, 2009 at 01:59 AM Posted August 19, 2009 at 01:59 AM Greetings....I have been trying to setup ATIS for a few Australian arirports....and modify the Text ATIS accordingly until it all works well....however...as soon as the METAR changes, and the ATIS designator changes letter, the Text ATIS goes back to what it originally was and I have to make the changes all over again! Is there a way to have the changes made in the "TEXT ATIS" field stay saved? Thanks in advance
Todor Atanasov 878664 Posted August 19, 2009 at 04:23 AM Posted August 19, 2009 at 04:23 AM You have to save them in a text file : RECORD:0:0.wav RECORD:04:04.wav RECORD:09:09.wav RECORD:1:1.wav RECORD:10:10.wav RECORD:10:10.wav RECORD:12:12.wav RECORD:2:2.wav RECORD:22:22.wav RECORD:25:25.wav RECORD:27:27.wav RECORD:3:3.wav RECORD:30:30.wav and then load that text file in the ATIS, after that save the settings. You don't save the changes either in the text file or save the settings to use that text file. EuroScope BETA Tester/Board of Designers
Jonas Eberle Posted August 19, 2009 at 09:02 AM Posted August 19, 2009 at 09:02 AM Maybe you meant that the text in the box gets overridden when you hit "Test URL" or automatic update is enabled. For that to fit your needs you will need to customize an ATIS for your airport at http://www.uniatis.net The URL given in the bottom field gets called (with the parameters filled in by EuroScope) and returns the ATIS text to the text box. This gets translated to voice files that you have to provide (should you insert bits that you do not have yet in the list). ES will always warn if it can't find a certain voice file. Jonas Eberle Posted August 21, 2009 at 10:51 AM Posted August 21, 2009 at 10:51 AM Maybe I should just mention (to be complete) that UniAtis is not the only project that provides this service, but from the very professional website I am quite sure nearly anything can be accomplished with it. See the forum http://www.uniatis.net/forum/ Thanks Samy for this leap in ATIS technology
