Wesley St George 1039348 Posted August 31, 2009 at 09:45 AM Posted August 31, 2009 at 09:45 AM Sunday Night Ops for 6th September 2009 - Welcoming Spring '09 Seeming Spring is about to be sprung upon us, this Sunday we will be welcoming more sunlight and warm weather by flying to three lovely locations to be during this time of the year. Start your flight at either Queenstown, Wellington or Christchurch and fly in a circuit or round-trip between one of the three airports. Each leg is approximately 170nm and should take about 45 minutes to an hour in a 737/A320 or longer depending on your aircraft. In the real world these routes are commonly operated by Air New Zealand, Jetstar and Pacific Blue. For a closer view click here for preferred routing. They are not an exclusive list, but they are the ones that will see the most action this Sunday. To reserve a particular ATC position, please post a message to that effect (including the times you expect to be online) in this thread. If possible, also book your position using vroute - large numbers of bookings in vroute attract additional traffic. Late-comers/Shorter Alternative: Late-comers or people looking for a shorter flight should fly one or two sectors in between these airports to create as much traffic as possible. Queenstown airport has no ILS. Check out this excellent tutorial written by Steve Hall about Non-Precision approaches.. If you have any questions please feel free to email me, or reply to this thread. Wesley
