Garry Morrison 897149 Posted September 27, 2009 at 11:47 PM Posted September 27, 2009 at 11:47 PM (edited) During hurricane season I generally take a few flight using my NOAA call sign. Anyone interested in flying a reconnaissance flight into a tropical depression or a hurricane? Let me know. It's definitely different than transporting p[Mod - Happy Thoughts]engers or cargo. We can do it, it's fun in an WC-130J or C-130J from The Hurricane Hunters, 53rd Weather Reconnaissance Squadron, 403rd Wing, Air Force Reserve Command, out of Keesler Air Force Base, Biloxi, Mississippi or using N42RF Lockheed WP-3D Orion "Kermit" / N43RF Lockheed WP-3D Orion "Miss Piggy" from the Aircraft Operations Center (AOC), out of MacDill AFB, FL.
