I've been tweaking my CFG file for FS9 and came across, "TERRAIN_MAX_VERTEX_LEVEL=21"...The default is 19. I've been doing some reading and I was wondering, will 19 or 21,22, or 23 give me the best visual displays? I've been experimenting and I can't seem to differentiate which one gives the best displays. Here is my current CFG setup: [DISPLAY] UPPER_FRAMERATE_LIMIT=50 TEXTURE_BANDWIDTH_MULT=400 [TERRAIN] TERRAIN_ERROR_FACTOR=100.000000 TERRAIN_MIN_DEM_AREA=10.000000 TERRAIN_MAX_DEM_AREA=100.000000 TERRAIN_MAX_VERTEX_LEVEL=21 TERRAIN_TEXTURE_SIZE_EXP=8 TERRAIN_AUTOGEN_DENSITY=5 TERRAIN_USE_GRADIENT_MAP=1 TERRAIN_EXTENDED_TEXTURES=1 TERRAIN_DEFAULT_RADIUS=9.000000 TERRAIN_EXTENDED_RADIUS=9.900000 TERRAIN_EXTENDED_LEVELS=4 Thanks in advance. But if you're trying to get higher quality ground textures, you're better off controlling the MIPMAP settings instead.
