Patrik Yngver Posted November 23, 2009 at 08:12 AM Posted November 23, 2009 at 08:12 AM The walhalla.mine.nu-site have some nice freeware sceneries for Canada, I've downloaded quite a few and are happy with them. A few suggestions: * Charlottetown * Sault Ste Marie * Hamilton * Thunder Bay * Goose Bay (Looks good but bit of a FPS killer) * Riviere-du-Loop * Quebec City * Saint John's * Baie-Comeau * Fredericton They might not be 100% payware quality, but for no $ at all you'll get a better experience. They are a lot better than default and some are on the edge of payware quality, bit hard to compare as most are smaller airfields... Happy flying! Marc Wheeler Posted November 23, 2009 at 11:10 AM Posted November 23, 2009 at 11:10 AM You may also want to look into buying Ultimate Terrain Canada. While this will not improve any of the airport scenery, it will improve the scenery quality of all your flights between airports. A must IMHO. Ryan Renz Posted November 23, 2009 at 11:45 PM Author Posted November 23, 2009 at 11:45 PM Awsome guys thank you so much for the resources; it's frustrating avsim being down and lot's of files currently missing or gone completely but I'm downloading everything that I can, upgraded lods roads installed Holger's scenery for BC; Blue Sky scenery and lot's of things so it's comming along good. I have a battle though is do I want to see the default first before I upgrade to see the improvements?! Yesterday I flew into KSEA and Landed on 16C which was still 15R for me, lol I guesses right but that pushes me to just upgrade everything.... however I can toggle it on and off but I can't see the whole world twice that would take forever!! lol.... I think I'll just blindly upgrade everything, the challenge is knowing wich is better (Person A or Person B) in some cases there are many upgrades over years and I try to get the newest file or the one with the better description to realism. Thank you guys! See you in the Air! In My (virtual) Hangar: C172 :: C-FXMY M20M :: C-GRYR Baron 58 :: C-TVUY

Marc Wheeler Posted December 12, 2009 at 01:42 PM Posted December 12, 2009 at 01:42 PM He has put CYWG on hold. As per his blog: Currently the CYWG project is on hold for one reason in particular: Due to the major construction going on at CYWG (Canada Post facility, Greyhound facility and most importantly the New Terminal) it has become very difficult for me to keep up with the information gathering process – that is to say, they’re building stuff to quickly!
