As we have this forum; anyone with information on a functional booking system for flights and/or slot times, preferably in PhP and MySQL-based?

The UK have a system that, provided it's a one off and not loads of events, I'd be more than happy to allow you the use of in this instance

As for one that you can install and use on your own servers; I've not heard of nor seen any

I made one a lot of time ago, but i really don't remeber how "user friendly" it was...

I'll try to have a look at it and see if i can make it somehow available in short time.

If (later) anybody has an interest in helping to make it "translatable", use CSS, and user friendly...

Thanks Luca, will be keeping a sharp lookout

Anthony, please check PM.

For clarification, besides what my present signature indicates, this is for one of my many webmaster hats

Just as an info, i'm rewriting a lot of the code i already had to make it easier to configure...

I expect to release the code in this forum FOR VATSIM USE ONLY, you can do what you want but any improvements have to be released here again...

I am, as you already know!

But, I would think more will follow when they observe that this is possible, and if they remember to access this forum as Webmasters

If you're looking for something to host bookings for an event with, I'm happy to set you up on the avigation server. We're currently running the VATPAC/VATNZ Cross the Ditch event site there, and that has flight bookings functionality (complete with automatic publishing into the vroute system, and high-level bookings analysis). There's also flight roster functionality available for real-ops style events.

Nick,

Not to turn down your kind offer, but I was looking for the software itself, not a hosting service, as that is already in hand

However, if you also offer a copy of the relevant software, that's another story

Luca,

Maybe you could post it here for everyone's benefit? That way we can establish board almost as a "database" or library of code/snippets/articles/tutorials?

Oki, standard disclaimers apply.

it's all at your own risk... the software is as is, all damage to your system is only your respnsability

You HAVE to review the data in config.php and db.php (and create a mysql db with access granted to the user/p[Mod - Happy Thoughts]word in this file).

Call initdb.php in your browser, it will create and populate the DB table with the fligths in your config file...

When you want to put the site into production removing initdb.php is a "good idea".

A "demo" site is available here: http://www.ellebi.org/luca/vatsim/realops

It requires a confirmation of the scheduling with a valid email.

Keep in mind this code is quite some years old, and has NOT been thoroughly checked for SQL injections and so on... check all insert statements (see disclaimers above).

And if you have improvements please repost them.

Hi all!

I've created a Ajax enabled solution pretty much like the one referred to earlier in this thread: http://forums.vatsim.net/viewtopic.php?f=68&t=56200

Modify it to fit your needs
