So, first on my Christmas list this year is a graphics card. I'm wondering could anybody guide my in the right direction of what to look for in a graphic card. Core 2 Quad Q6600 Clock-Speed 2.4GHz RAM Memory 4096 MB Hard Disk Capacity 640 GB running VISTA. also what FPS would I be achieving with that graphics card. It's not the biggest powerhouse in existence and only reaches its full potential with a PCI-E 2.0 video card slot because of its higher bandwidth, but to me it seems a solid choice. I can't say how well it performs when pushed to the max because mine is limited by a PCI-E 1.0 graphics port, but even so it has performed quite satisfactorily for me. Then i bought the GEForce 8800 graphics card and now i have everything on max ! and it runs ever so smoothly. I got the card brand new off Ebay for £15.00.
