It's approaching Christmas time and Santa is wanting my Christmas list

I have flight simulator 2004 at the moment with a really bad 'on board' graphics card.

So, first on my Christmas list this year is a graphics card. I'm wondering could anybody guide my in the right direction of what to look for in a graphic card.

Within a reasonable budget. £

Kind Regards.

Within a reasonable budget.

Might want to quantify that ... "reasonable" varies considerably from one person to the next.

my PC spec's are:-

Processor Type Intel. Core 2 Quad Q6600

Clock-Speed 2.4GHz

RAM Memory 4096 MB

Hard Disk Capacity 640 GB

running VISTA.

also what FPS would I be achieving with that graphics card.

You might consider the GeForce GTS250, probably 1GB version. It's not the biggest powerhouse in existence and only reaches its full potential with a PCI-E 2.0 video card slot because of its higher bandwidth, but to me it seems a solid choice. I can't say how well it performs when pushed to the max because mine is limited by a PCI-E 1.0 graphics port, but even so it has performed quite satisfactorily for me.
