Nicholas Hammond 1134398 Posted December 3, 2009 at 07:04 AM Posted December 3, 2009 at 07:04 AM (edited) How's everybody doing? I'm not gonna write a bunch of beautiful words over here, i'm just gonna ask, how about some group VFR flight every Saturday? It is my pleasure to present to you the Oshkosh Flying Club! And no, the Oshkosh is not the only place we fly. http://flyosh.net/ I was one of the people who helped with the creation of Piper Memorial Flying Club, and since that is long gone, here's a new generation of it. This is where VFR gets fun! Those who remember Piper Club will know exactly what I'm talking about. Every Saturday, at 01:00 ET (1800z) we are having the most scenic and interesting group flights. Let's fill the skies with VFR aircrafts! And with our special offer, everyone signing up prior to the flight scheduled to Saturday 5th (flying from Marathon, FL in Florida Keys up to Homestead General Aviation Airport) will receive a free copy of a wonderful MikeMax Homestead General Aviation Airport scenery to make the flight more enjoyable. I'll see you all this and every Saturday! Edited December 3, 2009 at 10:46 AM by Guest

Stefan Hueneburg 1062056 Posted December 3, 2009 at 04:05 PM Posted December 3, 2009 at 04:05 PM That sounds cool, I remember the good old days of the Piper Memorial Flying Club. Maybe I can recruit some VFR guys from the neighborhood. 1800zulu collides slightly with saturday family diner time though. Btw, I found a really nice freeware Oshkosh Scenere here: http://www.fs-mp.com/oshkosh/ cya Stefan Join us in #vatsim @ irc.quakenet.org - the IRC chat for every VATsimmer. Some differences with the real AirVenture Oshkosh but better than nothing. Too bad it's FSX only. I have my own scenery for FS9 which might also work in FSX, I'll distribute it whenever we have a flight in or out of Oshkosh. Hey guys, don't forget to sign up at the website, this way I can send you the download link for the scenery for the Saturday flight.
Nicholas Hammond 1134398 Posted December 3, 2009 at 05:53 PM Author Posted December 3, 2009 at 05:53 PM Here's the website once again: http://flyosh.net Also, Stefan mentioned that 1800z is not a perfect time for him to fly, if we all can agree on a different time, that will be great. As long as it works for everybody.
Charan Kumar Posted December 4, 2009 at 09:44 PM Posted December 4, 2009 at 09:44 PM Wud 1700z work? Looks like I might make it after all And what's the ride of choice, given that it is not the Piper club? That will determine if I fly FSX or XPlane... c y'all 2morrow!! Nicholas Hammond 1134398 Posted December 5, 2009 at 07:28 AM Author Posted December 5, 2009 at 07:28 AM Since no one signed up at the website to even get the scenery or the latest news, any time would work. You can fly any airplane you want, single engine preferred cause you don't wanna be flying faster than the majority. Although I don't expect that there will be more than 3 people or something, no one is really excited and no one registered at the website or anything. So, 1700z then. The info is on the website. See you all there!
