Dominic O'Neill Posted December 7, 2009 at 10:51 PM Posted December 7, 2009 at 10:51 PM For the benefit of pilots, non-RTS members and people who do not browse the separate VATSIM-UK forum: Several of the VATSIM-UK Regional Training Schemes have suggested submitting their airfield for consideration for Cross the Pond 2010 (Westbound). It's become quite a "hot" topic - and so below I have written all of the RTSs that are considering tendering an application for Cross the Pond, and their respective airfields. Clicking on the links will take you to the RTS subforum, where it is possible to vote and/or share your views as a divisional member or pilot on your opinions with regards to whether one of the biggest events on VATSIM will be held in the UK. Last revision 7th Dec. 2009 Heathrow RTS - London Heathrow EGLL Midlands RTS - Birmingham EGBB - East Midlands EGNX Northern RTS - Manchester EGCC Scottish and Northern Ireland RTS - Belfast Aldergrove EGAA - Edinburgh EGPH - Glasgow EGPF South East RTS - Gatwick EGKK Unfortunately, the South West RTS shall not be participating. This is because the RTS doesn't have an airfield with the capacity to support the very heavy traffic levels intimated by the Cross the Pond events. The discussion thread can be found here.
