Hi gang,

I have a serious problem with my autopilot with each aircraft I would fly online. Firstly, Once i am airborne things are running smooth... I engage the Autopilot and it goes to the heading and height etc... but the IAS wont ever work... after trying different aeroplanes and panels I cant seem to get this problem sorted. I have tried everything.

I really wish I could get this sorted ASAP.

Not enough information.

Which version of Flight Simulator are you running?

Does this happen both online and off line? If only online, which Pilot Client are you running?

Do you have other addons installed?

IAS should be controlled by the autothrottle, not the autopilot.

Cheers!

My mistake. I have did that aswell.

I am using FS2004

IDFG A319. All though i have tried it on the normal aircraft you get on FS2004.

You failed to mention if it "worked" on the normal acft on FS2004, and by normal you mean default , I hope!!

There is a key combination for AutoThrottle in FS9, Alt + R or Shift + R, I forget, one of them will engage the autothrottle and that should help you hold the A/T at the set speed!!

It seems to work offline no problem on both default and the idfg aircraft but when i go online with it... It never works.

Thank you

Yes. That , plus the version of Flight Simulator would most likely solve the riddle. That's why I asked that in the original response.

Your pitot tube is probably becoming frozen over at altitude. Try turning pitot heat on before you take off.

+1 on Paul's suggestion, somebody very recently had made a similar post which was resolved by it, although I am not sure why it would happen online.

Larry, he already mentioned he was using FS2004!!

Doesn't have anything to do with online or offline if that is the problem. The pitot tube freezes over due to the cold air at altitude that's being pushed into it.

Now if the problem is only happening online then that is strange, and then my suggestion is probably not the answer.

This would be a lot easier if we knew what "but the IAS wont ever work" means.

Cheers!

That doen't narrow the possibilities to less than two versions.
