Michal Rok Posted December 18, 2009 at 08:46 PM Posted December 18, 2009 at 08:46 PM Hi, I added A318 to booking drop down list. For fuel calculation, I would need a volunteer to collect information and execute two simple test flights (see support.vroute.net, FuelMania). regards, Michal vroute.net founder

No, it's not a matter of that so much as going westbound you're flying against the same wind (burning more fuel) that would be aiding your flight when you're going eastbound. Think of it as how it is more work/energy/"fuel" to go up a flight of stairs compared to down them. ZLA Pilot Cert I-

Phillip Speer Posted August 4, 2010 at 06:34 PM Posted August 4, 2010 at 06:34 PM The other reason the stop at Shannon is needed is that the runway at EGLC is not long enough to allow a fully fueled A318 to depart. Coming bacj the otherway, fuel levels are rather less and so not a problem. Phillip VATSIM UK Divisional Instructor

Belated but they are considering more A318's from EGLC - though there isn't space for many A318 operations at London City
