Steven Perry Posted September 19, 2005 at 12:24 AM Posted September 19, 2005 at 12:24 AM Just out of curiousity, in Canadian airspace is it a requirement to report level at an altitude even after "radar contact"/"radar identified" has been stated by the controller? I get quite a few pilots on my frequency with Canadian callsigns that report level at altitudes. Greg Phelan 810114 Posted September 19, 2005 at 03:07 AM Posted September 19, 2005 at 03:07 AM It is a requirement for Canadian pilots to report reaching an [Mod - Happy Thoughts]igned altitude, or to report vacating a previously cleared altitude when given discretionary descent, regardless of radar identification. All that radar identification buys the pilot is the ability to omit making position reports at mandatory reporting points.
