Nicholas Carpenter 1124393 Posted December 22, 2009 at 07:07 PM Posted December 22, 2009 at 07:07 PM I know that this is in the list of known problems, but as I am extremely computer illitterate , how exactly, in step-by-step, do I turn the hardware acceleration down in the video driver settings? Thanks.
Ernesto Alvarez 818262 Posted December 22, 2009 at 07:12 PM Posted December 22, 2009 at 07:12 PM didnt say OS, it may be different in Vista, in XP right click on your desktop, click properties, click settings tab, then click advanced, click the troubleshoot tab, lower the slider. how much you lower depends on your system, on my laptop to get VRC to work right i need to go to atleast the second notch on the left
Nicholas Carpenter 1124393 Posted December 22, 2009 at 07:23 PM Author Posted December 22, 2009 at 07:23 PM This is Vista, I made it into the hardware acceleration, but I cannot click the change settings because it is grayed out. I tried closing all my windows but it still didn't work. The message was "Your current display driver does not allow changes to be made to hardware acceleration settings." Tomas Hansson Posted December 22, 2009 at 07:54 PM Posted December 22, 2009 at 07:54 PM You may need to be running as Administrator. If that doesn't work, check for updates to your video card. Find out what your video card is, go to the manufacturer's website and check for updates. Tomas Hansson
