Hello, I have been using FSX since it came out and enever have I had this problem.

For some reason, no matter what aircraft im using, it no longer turns (left or right) in any direction. However, everything else works, and it will throttle up and down.

I have tried to reset all the settings back to their default, but to no avail.

I am using an old Microsoft Sidewinder Joystick.

I can look at the wings, and when I turn the Joystick to the right, you can see the very outer flap(?) move up, as well as what looks like the speedbrake.

Does anyone know what could have happened here?

when you calibrate, is the axis recognized? just to be sure.

is this happening on the ground or the air? if only on the ground, turn on auto rudder ([Mod - Happy Thoughts]uming your not using rudder pedals or twist axis joystick for rudder control)

The axis is recognized during calibration.

This happens only on the ground. To turhn on Autorudder, do I just go into a mission and hit "Ctrl + Shift + U" or is there a different way?

not sure if FSX has a key command to turn it off an on, but should be located in your realism settings, normally its been there with all other versions

Yep, I found it. The autorudder was the problem. Thank you for your help!
