2 PCs each connected to router and on a home network.

I have mounted on each PC the other's drives [Mod - Happy Thoughts]igning relevant

letters. FS9 is installed on PC1 and on PC2 I run various programs like AVC, FSInn, ServInfo, etc, using WideFS . However when it comes to installing Active Sky on PC2 and navigating to select FS9 directory on

PC1 it just doesn't let me do so. If I go to Windows Explorer on PC2

and open Microsoft Games directory it doesn't display any content.

I can however see the contents of other folders under Program Files.

None of the machines are using simple file sharing and I have enabled

Docomeents & Settings & Program Files folders to be shared and have access to all folders except for the Microsoft Games one.

Any advice/help greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Best regards

Joaquin,

It sounds not unsimilar to the way I have things here. If you are still stuck later when I get a chance I will run through settings.

I finally sorted out the problem. The trick is not to try to navigate to the folder using

the mapped drive, instead navigate to the Network\Workgroup and select from there

where the FS9 directory is shown as a share.

Bests

Joaquin,

Sorry - this one slipped my mind, and yes, the UNC path (the \\) is what is required.
