Dan Giordano Posted January 13, 2012 at 11:38 PM Author Posted January 13, 2012 at 11:38 PM reloaded windows with no problems SO FAR lol. will report back if i have any problems with fsx. just another quick question, i was using a program called ccleaner. is this a program that i should have or does it not make a difference? i mostly used it just for getting rid of cookies or internet files and cleaning registry errors. Charan Kumar Posted January 13, 2012 at 11:56 PM Posted January 13, 2012 at 11:56 PM ccleaner was harmless at XP level, havent had to use it Win7 yet. When is your next Flight||VATSIM HitSquad Member, ZOA/ZAK/GANDER/P1
Dan Giordano Posted January 14, 2012 at 12:24 AM Author Posted January 14, 2012 at 12:24 AM worked fine with me, i just hope i wasn't deleting anything important when it did the reg cleaner.
Richard Gerrish Posted January 14, 2012 at 12:36 AM Posted January 14, 2012 at 12:36 AM its works fairly well for me on both XP and Win7 for taking care of funk in my registry and general clean up of various caches around the systems. Dan Giordano Posted January 18, 2012 at 02:51 AM Author Posted January 18, 2012 at 02:51 AM got a new one today Description Faulting Application Path: C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Games\Microsoft Flight Simulator X\fsx.exe Problem signature Problem Event Name: APPCRASH Application Name: fsx.exe Application Version: 10.0.61472.0 Application Timestamp: 475e17d3 Fault Module Name: API.DLL Fault Module Version: 10.0.61472.0 Fault Module Timestamp: 475e180d Exception Code: c0000005 Exception Offset: 0005c6ae OS Version: 6.1.7601.2.1.0.768.3 Locale ID: 1033 Extra information about the problem LCID: 1033 Bucket ID: 595845817 this is getting really sickning, even after a fresh install of windows 7, what is api.dll? this did happen when i went to watch a video on windows media player, i minimized fsx and when i went back i got this message. once again i never had these issues on my old pc which was no where close to this one in terms of specs. could it all come back to windows 7 just being bad for fsx? one other thing that i have never mentioned is that this motherboard once had a problem with a certain part and was recalled, when i purchased the pc from the company who built it, they said that it was now fixed...always wondered if it was ever fixed. Erhan Atesoglu 1050499 Posted February 6, 2012 at 10:05 PM Posted February 6, 2012 at 10:05 PM Well it's definitely memory related.. but the thing is what's trashing the memory, the cpu or the ram. The only one thing I can tell you it isn't one single program as a bunch of them seem to be throwing the memory violation. My guess you need to clean the case... you shouldn't be getting 70degrees without overclocking. http://www.pond64.net

Dan Giordano Posted February 12, 2012 at 12:13 AM Author Posted February 12, 2012 at 12:13 AM heres another one, this time on firefox, so its not fsx or any thing within fsx, gotta ram or video card, but all i was doing is web browsing, there is no way its overheating cause the pc runs fast. i have not encountered any problems SO FAR with FSX after using the Bojotes teweaking link though. Description A problem caused this program to stop interacting with Windows. Charan Kumar Posted February 12, 2012 at 09:13 AM Posted February 12, 2012 at 09:13 AM Any chance one of the Adobe programs was running, flash, shockwave anim or a pdf open when this happened? it's a stab in the dark, just thought i will ask anyways. Dan Giordano Posted February 12, 2012 at 07:07 PM Author Posted February 12, 2012 at 07:07 PM there probably was, cause i know i installed flash in order to watch youtube videos and other stuff.
Charan Kumar Posted February 13, 2012 at 08:26 AM Posted February 13, 2012 at 08:26 AM I almost felt like an idiot asking that qn as you already mentioned watching more than a 100 youtube videos, so flash would've created a problem then...but pdf and other stuff watch out. Guess your FSX computer will become just FSX and nothing else atleast when it's in use.
