Thanks for all your answers!!! I did not saw his behavior as something wrong after all airports close!! I did not know what to do at that point except Disconnect or risk being disconnected and or Disciplined for not complying with the airport closure instruction. Thanks for your responses!!! In the event it ever happen again I will know what to do. Is a good thing to know your right along with your obligations! If there is something that have me engaged with VATSIM is the real procedures aspect, even if that means to land at a different airport than schedule. I would have asked for vectors to the next available Airport but since I was also using FSP[Mod - Happy Thoughts]enger I was forced to land at KAVX or declare a false emergency. In which case I would have been penalized severely. Thanks Again and Happy Landings!!!

The other thing is, that when a real world procedure is enforced but has no real implication on VATSIM operations, you can usually request exemption to that. For example, A few years ago, when the Superbowl was in Miami, they enforced the TFR to all aircraft. However, if you requested exemption, they would allow it. Now, that was decided and approved at an ARTCC level, so the situation could be a bit different. So if a controller is enforcing real world restrictions, they are not necessarily in the wrong. They can tell you that you are unable to do X because of a RW restriction, the problem usually arises once you ask to be exempt and that is denied.

If the conversation over the frequency went like this: LAX_CTR: Unable KAVX as the airport closes at 1900 lcl. ABC123: Rgr. OR LAX_CTR: Unable KAVX as the airport closes at 1900 lcl. ABC123: Rgr, we would still like to land at KAVX. LAX_CTR: Rgr.... There is no violation. However, if it is denied after the request, you risk violating CoC/CoR. VATSIM wide, there is no restriction on simulating RW procedures.

Please note that this is my personal opinion on the matter in this situation described above.

Thanks for the reply!!! I was not as eloquent with the pilot lingo when talking with the ATC @ LAX Center as you stated, but I definitely mention that I needed to land there because otherwise I was going to have unhappy p[Mod - Happy Thoughts]engers! I never requested to have an exception to the command, nor I Info him that I was going to proceed with the landing regardless. Since I did not really knew what to do I opted for dropping from the network and finishing my flight. No harm no fault, but the fact that I'm writing about it after all this time is prove that my feeling that something was not right was somewhat validated by your responses. What I take from this is knowledge that will help me in the future to deal with similar situations, and perhaps I will not need to drop my connection. That happened a while back I'm already around the Mexico / Guatemala border MMTP in my way to MROC.
