Bram Sars 1278468 Posted February 28, 2018 at 05:59 PM Posted February 28, 2018 at 05:59 PM Hello, Just installed ES and wanted to connect to a frequency. When i tried to connect to one, ES didn't show me any. https://imgur.com/a/kAvDp - screenshot of what ES gives me. Does anyone know what causes this issue and how i can resolve it? Best regards, Bram Sars
Board of Governors Nicholas Cavacini Posted February 28, 2018 at 06:09 PM Board of Governors Posted February 28, 2018 at 06:09 PM You need to manually enter the frequencies that you wish to use or your ES files can provide that information depending on configuration. That's weird. I've installed ES before, on anoter pc, about a year ago. When i installed it the frequencies all popped up... I've just double checked my installation and all the steps were done in order and correctly...
Thimo Koolen Posted March 1, 2018 at 09:33 AM Posted March 1, 2018 at 09:33 AM You need to manually enter the frequencies that you wish to use or your ES files can provide that information depending on configuration. Bram uses the Dutch sector files (he also posted this on the DutchVacc forum) and the frequencies are in a settings file. So probably the settings file didn't load correctly. Andreas Fuchs Posted March 1, 2018 at 10:41 AM Posted March 1, 2018 at 10:41 AM Settings-file = .ESE-file. It has to have the same name as the .SCT-file, e.g. ABCDE.ESE and ABCDE.SCT. ES will load ABCDE.SCT and then search for an .ESE-file with the same name. That is correct but not relevant to this topic, the frequencies in the ESE-File are just used to identify other stations and on text frequency. For the Voice Communication Setup the "Ground to Air Voice Channels" in the Settings Files Setup need to point to the correct txt-File. | Enroute Controller |
Andreas Fuchs Posted March 1, 2018 at 01:06 PM Posted March 1, 2018 at 01:06 PM Ok, thanks for the correction. I never used that function, I do it all manually. Anyways, it is not soooo complicated to setup new stations/frequencies within Euroscope. Thanks, as posted on the DutchVACC forum, my issue is fixed. Did a full reinstall. Apparently something went wrong during the installation.
