If the status says "Active" that means the aircraft model was successfully created. So if you still aren't seeing them, I have no idea what could cause that. Has to be a bug in MSFS.

Have you checked that there should be aircraft next to you by using a utility like VAT-Spy or simaware.ca?

If so and they are still invisible, please type ".aircraft" (no quotes) and take a screenshot of the window that pops up and post it to this thread.

I have similar findings.  vPilot 2.6.7

After spawning, all traffic is visible.  Nothing is "ignored" in the aircraft list.

About 10 seconds after changing simulator time or weather, existing traffic becomes "ignored" (not possible to un-ignore them - it says they are not on the ignored list) and the debug window fills with messages that the aircraft are deleted.

New aircraft, that appear within my 50nm radius of activity after me making that change are displayed normally and show as active in the aircraft list.

Restarting vPilot resumes normal function.

After a conversation I had with an Asobo dev team member, they are now aware of how to reproduce this issue and have it on their list to fix it. So it should be taken care of in a future update of MSFS.

Huge thanks for looking into this! I came here to post about this same issue. Glad to see I’m not the only one experiencing this. It seems to happen every vatsim flight on FS2020. When i land I see no other aircraft. Once I restart my sim and reload vPilot all the aircraft that should be there finally appear. 
 

I hope the fix is soon since FS2020 is my only sim and vatsim is too good!!

Well I reproduced the issue today. (I was confused that I see sometimes all planes, and then only few, or none. I Am using FS2020)

Very simple.

Just change the weather condition and/or time after you was connected with the vPilot. After serveral seconds vPilot is doing a refresh... and then some aircrafts are ignored... and you can´t deignore them. They are not found.

Reconnect does not work. You have to close vPilot and restart the client again and then alle planes are back.

 

It is possible to fly in you weather and time... but you have to setup everthying before you start the vPilot.

After you started the vPilot and connected to VATSIM you shall not change time or weather.

 

These where my 5ct to understand the issue.

Slight correction here, you can have vPilot running while you change the time or weather, you just can't be connected to the network. If you are connected to the network and have any other aircraft nearby, those aircraft will be deleted by MSFS when you change the time or weather. You then have to restart vPilot for it to recognize those aircraft again.

Is this triggered when the weather settings are changed, or when the weather itself changes? I don't ever touch these but I do fly with live weather.

No idea ... so far I've only had it reported that it happens when the user changes the weather.
