Fonts are really pixelated and ugly, especially on larger screens. Glad to see you back developing the project! The resolution is dependent on your monitor, not the software. Mike Teague 2
everything seems to be working as it should now btw, thanks for doing vatspy updates, been using it for years and its still the best vatsim monitor IMO now about the weird window minimize / restore behaviour....... ??? 🙂

Personally, I'm not a fan of that either, but, it's fine once I remember to look there for it. Perhaps consider making that an option in settings? Adrian Bjerke 3
Would it be possible for vatspy to support UTF-8 (I think?) characters? So characters like ÆØÅ does not result in "". I have been discussing this with the VATSIM devs to see what character set they use, so that I can use the same one in VAT-Spy. 1 Developer: vPilot, VRC, vSTARS, vERAM, VAT-Spy Senior Controller, Boston Virtual ARTCC

Yes please, it would be fantastic if this could be an option, and not the default behavior. Right now, if you click on the minimize button, the window hides in the system tray, making it inaccessible on a second or third monitor. Having it minimize to the task bar, would be much more useful - or at least give us the option to chose! Elias Stassinos 10
There are reports on windows 7 machines with he following error. Is this something that can be fixed? Elias Stassinos - Member of CHFD club (Connect-Have Fun-Disconnect)
Elias Stassinos 10
One minor glitch that existed before: When you press the "Retrieve METARs" button , the window that pops up looses focus after a sec... So you start typing the focus is lost , you click again and most pf the times, it looses focus second time....Then it works... And i think that this is happening the first time you do it. That's most likely caused by moving your mouse after opening the metar window. Whenever you move your mouse over the app, it sends the focus to the main window so that the mouse wheel can be used to zoom the map or scroll the lists. I'll look into adding code to disable that feature when the metar window is open. Christoph Reule 3
Hi @Ross Carlson, I noticed in the beta 4 it's no longer possible to change the map fonts for staffed & unstaffed ATC. You can open the font selection window, but after clicking on "apply" nothing happens.

Monitor is @4k, 200% dpi. It's probably the 200% scaling that's doing it. I see that the boundary lines look pixellated, too. If you set 100% scaling and reboot, does that fix it? I realize that's not a solution, since everything will be too small on your monitor, but I'm curious if it fixes it. That was a common thing back when I first wrote VAT-Spy, but I don't really think it's valuable any more. Ross Carlson 135
The error is saying one of the fonts isn't set. Did you do anything just before that with the font settings? Or did you remove a font from your computer? Developer: vPilot, VRC, vSTARS, vERAM, VAT-Spy Senior Controller, Boston Virtual ARTCC
