Lol yes I know it's a very long time but other pursuits, life, kids, etc. happened. Anyone who joined before the requirement went into effect was "grandfathered", and does not require the course/exam. Your account is active; you are welcome to connect whenever you like. However, I still recommend you go through the training materials. It won't take long, but does a nice job giving you information that will be helpful as you start with VATSIM.
