Naresh Gurung 931375 Posted June 21, 2010 at 11:35 PM Posted June 21, 2010 at 11:35 PM Looking at the VatsimPHPgenerator.php file, it looks like it is fetching data from http://metar.vatsim.net/ http://metar.vatsim.net/KMSP reveals the METAR for KMSP but for some reason, VATSIM Mobile Monitor site does not list the METAR for KMSP. http://vmm.strausshome.org/index.php?action=airport&airport=KMSP&metar=true&version=mobile Thought I'd share. It's slow here at work this evening. Regards, Naresh Check out my VATSIM intro videos: Part 1 Part

Scott Stone 1018857 Posted February 17, 2011 at 01:10 AM Posted February 17, 2011 at 01:10 AM This seems to work great except for airports for whom only an overlying CTR controller is online. for example, right now KZDC Center is online, and KRDU (Raleigh-Durham) is an airport within that airspace. If I enter KRDU, it says "NO ATC ONLINE". If I put in a different airport in the same airspace that has approach online (maybe tower too, couldn't check that), it lists approach and center when I enter the airport ICAO. It just seems to get confused when only the center controller is online.
Oliver Strauss 821573 Posted February 17, 2011 at 07:27 AM Author Posted February 17, 2011 at 07:27 AM I know this kind of problem. I try to match the airport code with the controller code, but it's no working at all. For example Frankfurt - EDDF: EDDF_TWR is working fine, EDDF_N_APP also, but EDGG_E_CTR is not working. Because I don't have a list which controller is responsible for which airport worldwide do I have to try it this way. I will try to find a more comfortable way to match the airport with the correct controller station, but I will need a bit more time for that. kind regards Oliver vacc germany

Kirk Christie Posted March 15, 2011 at 11:32 PM Posted March 15, 2011 at 11:32 PM Yes this could be stickied... Also Australian centres do t show up correctly, id imaging the program is looking for the YM/YB prefix, rather than ML/BN ctr prefix we use. Antonio Palmieri Posted April 10, 2011 at 08:47 PM Posted April 10, 2011 at 08:47 PM OLIVER! That is truly impressive. It looks amazing: intuitive, clean, seems robust. I like how I can tap on a destination, or a callsign, as a link. Thank you for getting this on Android!!! How on Earth do I get to themap view in your screenshots above? I tried and tried but couldn't find any map type view. Antonio

On the main screen "VMM Vatsim Mobile Viewer" with the "Enter an ICAO Code" field box, when I press the MENU button I don't have a MAP option. When I press MENU, I get 3 options: All ATC, Pilots, ATC Bookings. Android Froyo 2.2, stock, HTC Desire. Antonio
Oliver Strauss 821573 Posted April 11, 2011 at 07:48 AM Author Posted April 11, 2011 at 07:48 AM The symbol above "Pilots" is a map. That's what I meant. kind regards Oliver vacc germany
Antonio Palmieri Posted April 11, 2011 at 08:45 AM Posted April 11, 2011 at 08:45 AM The symbol above "Pilots" is a map. That's what I meant. Ah, it works! That is awsome. I had clicked on ATC Bookings and found the booking list in txt format, and I had clicked on All ATC and found the ATC list in text format. I hadn't clicked on the Pilots because probably I [Mod - Happy Thoughts]umed it was going to give me the Pilot list in txt format. I did not pay attention to the icons, only to the text. Maybe it could happen to others also?? This is truly outstanding service Oliver. A great addition to the VATSIM community for those of us who will use this app on our mobile phones! Many thanks.
