Hi Felix,

I did a file for EDDM. But there aren't any aircrafts although there are 3 on the ground. I add the file to this post, would you have a look please? I don't know what i did wrong.

i've sorted out some things with OCC yesterday:

1. 2 columns with a maximum of 40 lines each are displayed

2. the value of the "PLUGIN:OCC view:LINES:58" have to be the largest value of the both rows, in the example of EDDM from Felix have to be "PLUGIN:OCC view:LINES:39"

3. it could be a good idea to extend your STAND lines with at least the range and blocked(1/0) values of the stands

4. always use the LAT/LON values from the AFCAD bgl file of the Airport, the sector file values aren't exact enoungh

Hi guys, need some help,

 

We already have the OCC plugin for LPPT airport, but we don´t know why, when we use the commands, nothing happen (the image on the OCC table don´t change, if we want to move the aircraft he doesn´t move, etc etc)...

 

any idea if we missing something?

Are you sure, the ASR file is correct?

 

What do you mean with "if we want to move the aircraft"? You can't move the aircraft, you only can [Mod - Happy Thoughts]ign gate numbers/information.

Hi Guys,

 

I am trying to setup an OCC to SBCT Airport (Elevation 2988 ft), but for any reason the plane did not appears on the board. Doing the same procedure to SBFL at 10 ft Elevation the planes shows up.

 

Why it works when the airport is at sealevel but it doesn't when at 2988 ft? Is there any variable to set at ASR file because

reading the messages in this topics, Felix mentioned a elevation issue.

Ammm....I have to admit that I'm not sure what release is that, but if it is the first, then the max altitude can be 800 ft. So a plane above that will not be shown. In the next release you will be able to set the max altitude. Or you can change the source code itself and compile it. If you need help let me know.

Until the next release of OCC Plugin I would like to try to fix it, so I would take the opportunity to learn how to develop a plugin and then contribute to the community

 

I have already download VC++ 5.0 express edition as well as Windows Plataform SDK, but when I try to compile I receive a message error (in fact 3 for the same line 91 of OccScreen.h) about missing ; and syntax error at & > (as I am at work I don't have the exact messages, sorry).

 

Can you help me with that?

I guess that express edition is not enough for that. The OCC plug-in uses MFC (sorry a I am a bit lazy) and that is not supported by the express edition.

Thanks for the support with MFC and the express edition. I suspected this could be a problem after some tests I did using same other sample examples. I will manage to get a full version and start working with plugin.

and also others with the elevation problem.

Christoph has made already a version which works with higher elevations. You can find it in the vatger forum (http://board.vacc-sag.org/14/34757/page9/#post491818) You have then to add a new line in the .asr file

PLUGIN:OCC view:ELEVATION:<here goes the airportelevation>

Then the modified version checks for aircrafts with airport elevation+300ft to be at the stand, and the area of interest is then defined for airport elevation+4000ft.

 

And Gergely, where to get the newest sources of the plugin to work and improve them? And where to send them back to help the community? Do you have any revisionsystem like subversion up and running for that?

In my sources from december 2009, I think I find the failure which is responsible that .occarr and .occdep are not working.

Nils, there is no "database" for plugins.

As for the new versions, they are "connected" to the release version of ES (or the bate) with compatibility code, so you would need the newest beta to run and test them. Which on another hand can be used only by the beta testers for now. But you can improve the released version of the plugin

Yesterday I manage to compile OCC plugin and make a change similar to the one you said (same asr line), but considering elevation + 500ft as interest area.
