All,

It would appear that although 99.5% of our users are having no issues there are a few people who have had voice disconnects, and we are trying to work out if there is a bug that needs fixing or if this was during yesterdays voice server restarts to apply fixes.

If you experience persistent disconnects from this point on wards can we ask that you do the following.

1) Download https://www.dropbox.com/s/whfkbcodrxkfs6u/NLog.zip?dl=0

2) Unzip the nlog.config file into either your vpilot or standalone client folder

3) Run vpilot or the standalone

4) Wait for a disconnect

5) Post the following in this thread :-

-Disconnect Time:

-How Often your disconnects are:

-What error the client showed on disconnect:

-Callsign:

-Client Version:

-Internet Speed:

-Internet Provider or rough real world location:

-A link to a zipfile of the debug.txt file if it exists as well as the Log folder within your client

Thanks

Gary

That seems to be something else and not AFV related. I suggest you make a post in the respective section for your pilot client.

Maybe, but maybe not...?  (Sorry, I know that pretty much says nothing 🙂  )

Just wondering out loud, but I've heard that AFV is more sensitive than pilot clients to hiccups in data throughput/connection and client CPU.  I think it may be worth getting more information on which pilot client he uses, and the actual disconnection messages.

During Saturday's most recent event, I got disconnected from voice at least 10 times. Today controlling i got disconnected about 10 times as well, although the light was red like I was talking. It has been happening with teamspeak as well.

I decided to uninstall AFV and try to reinstall it; however, when reinstalling it, it says that there are still files of AFV installed still. I cleaned out my c drive of all AFV material so I am not sure why it is saying this. Not really sure what to do now hahaha.  Thanks for the great audio!

today [Aust time] in KSFO and KOQU rx quality is excellent.

i suspect mobile broadband interference with computer usb or other. in other words i have to be careful of what is near or connected to the computer while the sim is running.

the mobile is not connected to the computer but i think the signal may be causing interference.

Hi I am having the same problem with xsquawkbox and vatsim standallone. The ATIS I am listening to is interrupted because of reconnection aprox. every 10 seconds . The same happens with another plane. Framerate over 30. Latest version xsquawkbox and vatsim.

Is there any solution meanwhile?

Regards

Derek

You do NOT need the standalone client if you're using xSquawkBox, as xSquawkBox already has the new audio integrated directly. Please only run once at a time or you will... uh... experience issues 🙂

Thanks for your help. I deinstalled vatsim and it works without interruption. But I had to turn up volume extremely and the voice ist hardly to understand from ATIS. It seems to come in slower as normal. After a while it stopped and I have a noise now.

in FSX, Windows 10, I have resolved this by deleting the start icons for vpilot and fsx and redoing them both with 'run as administrator'.

Hi sinds this past Saturday (23rd JAN 2021) I started experiencing repeatedly Voice Server disconnections with multiple flights. Never before had this.

-Disconnect Time: 14:52z

-How Often your disconnects are: every few minutes, can't really discern a pattern

-What error the client showed on disconnect: Disconnected from voice server. Reason: Lost server connection

-Callsign: AAL76

-Client Version: vPilot v2.7.0

-Internet Speed: 20 Mbps

-Internet Provider or rough real world location: Tele2 NL

-A link to a zipfile of the debug.txt file if it exists as well as the Log folder within your client: https://www.dropbox.com/s/cgpfg62rnj9fezo/logfile.txt?dl=0

I've reset/restarted my router. I've allowed vPilot in my Firewall settings and I tried every server in the list in vPilot but on every server I keep getting disconnections. It's only vPilot suffering from disconnections. All other applications on my system requiring internet, work fine.

Hi @Ashwant Gonesh seems we are in the same boat! I have exactly the same problem as you have, also with Tele2NL (60Mbps) everything superstable and extremely steady VDSL, but only vPilot dropping the Voice Connection. Maybe they filter the data or do some content filtering, I don't know.

I don't have the time today to investigate any further, but will try with a VPN tomorrow. Just to rule out some things.

Hey @Jamie Janssen

So far, for some miracle the disconnections have stopped. Actually since yesterday 1605z. I'm flying today again and so far so good. I hope it stays that way.
Hopefully for you it might also be resolved.
