Matthew Spencer Posted April 19, 2010 at 08:07 AM Posted April 19, 2010 at 08:07 AM Where the magic happens. I keep meaning to edit that m[Mod - Happy Thoughts]ive line out of a nice red layer to better establish the boundaries. Looks cluttered because all VORs are enabled and MIAs were temporarily shown. To the southwest is the boundary with NY, and A90 is illuminated as well. Little TWR monitor gets a bit cluttered, and most of my APP vectoring is done on the side window. David Zhong Posted May 2, 2010 at 09:47 AM Posted May 2, 2010 at 09:47 AM The grey is the background. The green is the aircraft. Keep the green circles away from each other. David Zhong
Kirk Christie Posted May 2, 2010 at 09:51 AM Posted May 2, 2010 at 09:51 AM Thats how Eurocat shows under the TAAATS mod, In real Australian Centers, and some other places around the world Green is a neutral colour, which means that if you look at it long enough against a White or Grey background, when you look away you wont have the blued visions of the colours in your eyes, Try it with an experiment, this is why Surgeons wear green its better for your eyes The light grey is the sectors im controlling Dark Grey is sectors im not controlling Kirk Christie - VATPAC C3 VATPAC Undercover ATC Agent Worldflight Perth 737-800 Crew Member

Matthew Spencer Posted May 19, 2010 at 06:33 AM Posted May 19, 2010 at 06:33 AM Newest iteration of my CTR screen. I usually end up working CTR or instructing it, so I've been tweaking this one quite a bit. High contrast DSR in the main screen with the blue parts being radar coverage, and grey sections being no radar coverage. Boston with an ACD display and ARTS (Changed to STARS now, but I have to get used to it not having temp alts) on the right, and the top right a largely unchanged tower display. Andrew McCluskey Posted May 21, 2010 at 04:26 PM Posted May 21, 2010 at 04:26 PM This is my tower setup: I use this setup, coupled with FS9 in tower view mode on my other screen, doing most of the work from tower view, like a real tower controller . The Radar is only there because the real Glasgow has one, and is only a copy of the Glasgow Approch's screen and is not to be used for providing radar services. The screen above the radar is the Surface Movement Radar, which Glasgow also has one of . I have the main window resized at the bottom because I only need the chatbox and function buttons. In the middle is my controller list and ATCA, which provides the squawks, and finally, on the left I have the flight strip bay, which along with looking out of my virtual tower's windows, is one of the most important tools in tower controlling.
