Erik Wachters Posted May 16, 2011 at 05:26 PM Posted May 16, 2011 at 05:26 PM Yes, it is sick...... and I know. Why do you think it took me 34 pages of this topic befor posting this? And by the way: that two 22 inch monitors are touchscreens... comes in handy with GVCCS and many other things. And thats just the basement, wait until you find out whats on the attic Have fun building, Erik

Andrew Doubleday Posted May 17, 2011 at 05:30 AM Posted May 17, 2011 at 05:30 AM Probably connected to his home landline so he doesn't have to leave the scope when important phone calls come in. Erik Wachters Posted May 17, 2011 at 07:06 AM Posted May 17, 2011 at 07:06 AM Hi, That phone is connected to GVCCS. I have two soundcard in my pc, one for Euroscope and standard windows sounds and the second one for skype that is connected to the phone. You can even tell Skype to route the ringtone to the first soundcard. It should be nice that more peaple use GVCCS. Erik
Andrew Doubleday Posted May 17, 2011 at 07:32 AM Posted May 17, 2011 at 07:32 AM It's a great program... We've been testing it at ZMP recently. Far more reliable than the default intercom system. Todor Atanasov 878664 Posted May 17, 2011 at 10:55 AM Posted May 17, 2011 at 10:55 AM I would also like to see more people use it. The idea is that it works right, when there are more online stations. EuroScope BETA Tester/Board of Designers

Erik Erik how come vatsim gets the 'primeur' to see this and we at BeluxvACC don't have any picture of that LOL :p + I've been using GVCCS but for some or another reason some atc's at our vACC don't want to use it... think it's a shame.. Erik Wachters Posted May 17, 2011 at 05:54 PM Posted May 17, 2011 at 05:54 PM Some of our neighbour ATCC are using it. I had a couple of times contact with London an Langen but that a while ago. Erik
Jonas Eberle Posted May 18, 2011 at 05:31 AM Posted May 18, 2011 at 05:31 AM I won't use it. I just don't have 110MB RAM free to just run Skype. I think Skype is the wrong way to go with GVCCS. It's proprietary, it's bloatware, it's slow,... It has perfect sound quality and low bandwidth usage, yes, but I am only starting it if I have an appointment to meet on Skype. On my 'controlling' laptop with an overall of 740MB of RAM? I cannot afford running Skype in parallel to more important software like EuroScope, .pdf-charts and Firefox to check the forums , sorry - it is either Skype or other software for me. Others in Langen keep using it and GVCCS-profiles are floating through our forums, so I think it is on the rise
George Papafilis Posted May 18, 2011 at 06:23 AM Posted May 18, 2011 at 06:23 AM It seems weird to me that 740 MB are not enough for ES, pdf charts, firefox and skype. Unless ofcourse firefox has many many tabs open and a very large memory footprint. I [Mod - Happy Thoughts]ume you have Win XP and I would urge you to optimize their boot so that you have at least 500 MB free immediately after bootup. On the other hand, if you're running win 7 then 740 MB are nowhere near enough for any work done on the laptop.
